Network Aims

Within the remit of our local evolving health care system, Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire Critical Care Network will continue to support, lead and promote the highest quality of patient care and experience.

Each year, in accordance with the Governance & Accountability framework for managed clinical networks NHS EOE, the network team strives to achieve our business objectives and subsequent service outcomes that will benefit Critical Care patients & services. Our yearly service delivery plan, is produced through provider & primary care trust collaboration and seeks to respond to local service requirements whilst introducing national strategy & quality improvements.

We aim:

To facilitate the provision of best care and experience for all critically ill patients within Herts and Beds
To ensure equity of access, to the highest standard of care in the right place, at the right time
To standardize care and monitor against agreed quality indicators
To grow local service improvement capabilities
To provide a forum for multi-organizational collaboration where clinical engagement can influence the commissioning process and acts as a driver for change
To provide a local expert group for professional support and direction setting
